One-Wash
One-wash denim is raw denim that has been laundered a single time to remove the bulk of the shrink, then sold. It keeps most of raw denim’s deep color and fade potential while sparing you the sizing gamble of shrink-to-fit, because the major shrinkage has already happened. It is a practical middle path: you buy close to your measured size and still get to develop your own fades from a near-raw starting point. On a spec sheet, "one-wash" is useful information — it tells you the jean is essentially raw for fading purposes but pre-shrunk for sizing.
