Rise (Low / Mid / High)

Rise is the measurement from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband, and it decides where trousers sit on your body: low rise below the navel, mid rise around it, high rise above. It is one of the biggest drivers of how pants look and feel, and it is often under-published. A short rise on a taller frame drags the crotch down; a long rise on a shorter frame balloons the waist. Match rise to your torso, not to a trend — and treat brands that publish front-rise measurements as doing you a genuine favor.
