What is a capsule wardrobe, and do I need one?
A capsule is a small set of versatile staples — think a dozen well-chosen pieces — that mix into most of your outfits, so you own less but wear each piece more. You do not "need" one, but the logic is sound: fewer, better items in colors that combine raise how often each thing gets worn, which lowers cost per wear and cuts decision fatigue. The honest caveat is that a capsule is a tool, not a virtue — buying twelve new "capsule" pieces to replace clothes you already have is just shopping. Start from what you actually wear; our free capsule checklist is a starting frame, not a mandate.
